2012 in Film: #43
Metropolitan (1990) | Directed by Whit Stillman
Thoughts: The film kept reminding me of Woody Allen’s own acerbic look at the upper-class snobs, or as one character terms it “Urban Haute Bourgeoisie”, in Manhattan, but it’s a different film, and in a good way. Brimming with lovely and interesting conversation, this quirky film revels in the kind of soceity it skewers. Very amusing, with great dialogue.
