American Psycho (2000) | Directed by Mary Harron

Grade: B+

Thoughts: I first watched American Psycho several years ago, and I stopped it because I couldn’t really handle it. Watching it now, I see it as a derisive, snarky, pessimistic satire on consumerist and yuppie culture. Brilliant in some aspects, such as Christian Bale’s portrayal of Patrick Bateman. Fascinating film, and horrifying all the same.
